This one day course will empower learners with the skills and knowledge to become Emergency First Aiders who can promptly, safely, and effectively administer treatment to casualties within their workplace

 

FAA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work

 

Meet the requirements of Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.

Ongoing Practical assessment by the instructor.

 

3 year qualification

Annual 3hr refresher recommended

1 Day Course

Minimum of six classroom hours with practical and theoretical activities. Possible pre-course activity.

Can be spread over a maximum of 4 weeks. Training sessions must last a minimum of two hours each..

  • Responsibilities and reporting
  • Resuscitation and AED awareness
  • Burns
  • Assessment of the situation
  • Anatomy
  • Choking
  • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty
  • Minor injuries
  • Epilepsy
  • Basic hygiene in First Aid
  • Bleeding control
  • Shock
